JET is a member of the Groningen Declaration Network (GDN) in an effort to lead and inform global strategies on educational data, while promoting a secure, flexible and accessible data ecosystem. The GDN builds on the Groningen Declaration of 2012 on Digital Student Data Depositories Worldwide.
The GDN serves as an "international, nonprofit and voluntary network of like-minded organisations and individuals that want to make digital student data portability happen." It "seeks common ground in best serving the academic and professional mobility needs of citizens worldwide by bringing together stakeholders in the digital student data ecosystem".
