JET’s competence is built around a value chain consisting of research, implementation and monitoring and evaluation.
JET offers project management and implementation services for educational interventions across the education sector and draws on significant experience in this field, initially in the area of school improvement and more recently encompassing the TVET college and youth development sectors. JET has, over the years, initiated and/or managed school reform programmes worth over R370 million and involving more than 1 600 schools.
In our school improvement work, our mission is to achieve sustainable systemic education improvement through strong partnership and evidence-based interventions. We endeavour to strengthen the capacity of education institutions and departments to deliver quality education, concentrating on system-level planning and enhancing the capacity of the education system to integrate planning and delivery.
Education management and implementation work is underpinned by three key concerns: tackling educational challenges systemically with a view to sustainability; forming partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure projects are embedded and taken forward; and using evidence to guide planning and measure success.
