I believe that indigenous Knowledge Systems should be prioritized in the South African education system. South Africa needs to move towards an independent route when it comes to literature and the curriculum that is being offered. The textbooks that are used in South Africa should be published locally and must include local examples which will resonate with the South African public.
The JETStreaming programme offers me the opportunity to immerse myself into Education Research, and I look forward to building my research capacity at JET Education Services and contributing to educational and social change.
