This review explores the use of new technology to enhance the interoperability of data, particularly in the post-school education and training sector, an innovation which has the potential to provide citizens with the ability to make informed labour market decisions that lead to employment. The move towards interoperable data ecosystems is a global narrative, and hence the review is of value to both international and South African readers.
The publication, Interoperable Data Ecosystems: An international review to inform a South African innovation, by Kelly Shiohira and Barbara Dale-Jones, a collaboration between JET Education Services and the merSETA, was launched at the European Training Foundation (ETF) Conference in Turin, 6-7 November 2019.
